Reception/Year 1 Teacher – Part‑time, long‑term temporary and ongoing role starting August 2026

Duties as Reception/Year 1 Teacher:
* Teach a Reception/Year 1 class on a part‑time basis
* Deliver engaging lessons aligned with EYFS and KS1 expectations
* Support early literacy, phonics, numeracy, and play‑based learning
* Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour approaches
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied developmental needs, including SEND
* Assess pupil progress and provide appropriate feedback
* Work collaboratively with EYFS and KS1 colleagues
* Contribute to planning and assessment as part of the teaching team
* Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Reception/Year 1 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in EYFS and/or KS1
* Confident supporting mixed‑age classes
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Warm, nurturing, and proactive teaching approach
* Reflective and adaptable to part‑time working patterns
* Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
