Job Purpose
To be a member of a team of Leisure Assistants reporting to the Duty Manager, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of Perth Leisure Pool.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Duties
* Responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Perth Leisure Pool through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers.
* To be a member of a team trained in accident prevention, aquatic rescue and first aid.
* To ensure the safety of customers through encouraging safe recreation and activity.
* To carry out rescues and to administer remedial treatment as may be defined in the Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan.
* To maintain a high standard of cleanliness both within and outside the pool at all times. This will include public toilets, shower areas, main concourse, cafeteria, bar, staff areas and outdoors.
* To assist with the setting out and clearing away of equipment and furniture.
Other Tasks
* To assist with the teaching of lessons and classes as required.
Health and Safety
* To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation.
Training
* To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in in-house or externally.
* To maintain the standard required for the current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
General
* To undertake other related duties as may be required by the Company.
* Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
* To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required.
