Business Development Executive – IT Services
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: £40K – £50K Base / £80K OTE

The Role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Executive to drive the company’s growth and profitability.
You will identify, engage, and secure new business (IT support and cloud projects) through self-generating leads and creating outreach campaigns to reach sales targets.
With your understanding of Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies, you will be confident representing the company and speaking to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who understands ‘cloud-first’ operations and the components that are typically included in that type of infrastructure (files, storage, backup, security, email hygiene etc).

Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business growth to meet sales targets, with a strong emphasis on self-generating appointments and leads through new business development strategies.
* Proactively engage in outbound prospecting across phone and social platforms to build pipelines and book qualified meetings.
* Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, including creating initial appointments with new customers, delivering presentations about our services and our value propositions, liaising with internal pre-sales resources, delivering cost models and proposals, closing sales and following the company procedures for new account opening.
* Create tailored proposals through understanding customer requirements and aligning solutions with their business needs.
* Build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline progress in the CRM system.
* Stay up to date with core IT solutions we offer, alongside market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies.
* Represent Syntax at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
* Ensure that the delivered services meet the customer requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree educated
* 5+ years of experience in a B2B sales or business development role within an MSP, with a track record of securing new business
* Proven ability to negotiate and sell to executives, including VIP clients and senior stakeholders
* Good understanding of Microsoft technologies and managed IT services
* Experience using Salesforce, Excel, Word and Outlook
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Motivated to learn and develop
* Clear and fluent (spoken and written) English
