Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is a picturesque boutique hotel comprising three buildings, including two 19th century manor houses. The hotel is newly refurbished with Oxford style vintage decor, set amongst 3 acres of private gardens and located about 2 miles from Oxford city centre. The hotel offers 77 en-suite rooms across two buildings with distinct character.
As our next Food & Beverage Manager, you will contribute to delivering memorable guest experiences and lead the daily operation of the restaurant and bar.
Responsibilities
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the restaurant and bar, directing the F&B team to ensure guest satisfaction and managing the business to remain profitable. Responsibilities include managing food and beverage costs, upholding menu standards, controlling inventory, providing guidance and support to the F&B team, ensuring efficient operation of the outlets, maintaining a safe and pleasant work environment, handling daily financial administration, stock management and end-of-month reporting, and working duty manager shifts as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong communication abilities
* Knowledge of food and beverage menu items
* Basic math proficiency for handling transactions
* Attention to detail in all tasks
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Understanding of hygiene and safety practices
* Team player with good interpersonal skills
* Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends
* Must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom
