The post holder will be expected to work as part of a team with responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of clinical care, for teaching of junior staff and medical students and for actively participating in continuing medical education, and in department and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
The role is based at the Queen’s Hospital, Burton but with some sessions delivered at sister sites. The appointment is subject to the National Terms and Conditions of Service for Specialty Doctors (2021), which may be amended by collective agreement from time to time.
Applicants must hold MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification together with the Diploma in Ophthalmology or a higher qualification.
Full registration with the GMC and a licence to practice at the time of application is essential.
