Description Justice Worker - Fixed term until 31/3/2027 Grindlay Court Social Work Centre Salary: £34,452 - £40,501 (pro-rata) Hours: 18 hours Edinburgh Justice Services are committed to providing high quality services and ensuring a compassionate approach to people who use our services, and to supporting staff wellbeing. We offer a high level of training to support continuous professional development and to deliver a broad range of interventions, including established, accredited, group work programmes. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join us as a Justice Worker in the Domestic Abuse Service This is a fantastic opportunity for people looking to work within a professional, dedicated and supportive team and service. Justice Workers support people who are in contact with Edinburgh Justice Services on a statutory or voluntary basis. The post holder will be contributing to providing interventions designed to reduce reoffending, vulnerability and harm and to support desistance and wellbeing, within a trauma-informed care approach. The post holder will be part of a team delivering an accredited domestic abuse intervention - the Caledonian Men’s Programme - on either an individual or group work basis This role includes evening working. To be considered for this post you should have HNC in Social Care or equivalent, and extensive experience of working in care or justice settings. You should have experience of facilitating groupwork interventions - ideally the Caledonian Men’s Programme. Hear more from colleagues about Working in Justice Services This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
