GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to work with children in Derby, providing care and guidance in a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development. You will work closely with nursery staff to implement daily routines, support learning activities, and ensure each child feels secure, valued, and encouraged to explore and grow. Nursery Nurse Responsibilities: Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities for early years children. Provide individual and group support to children, fostering learning and development. Observe, record, and report on children’s progress and behaviour. Promote positive behaviour, social skills, and independence. Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times. Collaborate with nursery staff, parents, and colleagues to meet each child’s needs. Prepare resources and maintain a clean, organised learning environment. Participate in school trips and enrichment activities as required. Requirements for Nursery Nurse: Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare (desirable). Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
