Overview
Senior Care Assistant role focusing on supporting the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, involvement in person-centred care planning, supporting with medication requirements, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and update written records to reflect variations.
* Be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
* Act as a key contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, and for health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:
* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Qualifications
* To be successful in this role, you will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least 2 years\' experience working in a similar care environment. You should also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
