The Education Department at Bradford Royal Infirmary is seeking an Associate Education Technician to join our team in delivering high-quality technical support for Clinical Skills and Simulation events. Our state-of-the-art Simulation Centre is ASPiH accredited, reflecting the high standards and quality of the work we do. You’ll be part of a team that brings clinical skills to life, helping healthcare professionals learn in a safe, realistic environment. About the role: You will work with a range of medical and simulation equipment, including high- and low-fidelity manikins, supporting day-to-day operation of the simulation centre. This includes simulation training, technical skills sessions, and maintenance of equipment and facilities. The role requires initiative, flexibility, and the ability to manage your own workload in a busy education service, with participation in a rota covering 7.30am – 6pm. Advert Key responsibilities: Set-up & Operation: Prepare, operate, and maintain simulation equipment including manikins, clinical task trainers, AV systems, and IT equipment. Scenario Programming & Support: Assist in developing and programming simulation scenarios alongside faculty and educators. AV Recording & Debrief: Operate AV equipment to record sessions for debrief and learning. Equipment Maintenance & Inventory: Carry out routine checks, maintenance, and repairs; manage inventory, ordering, and safe storage. Environment Setup & Reset: Prepare and restore simulated clinical environments (wards, theatres, emergency settings) to replicate realistic scenarios. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure safe use of equipment in line with infection control, manual handling, and data protection protocols. Liaison & Coordination: Work closely with educators, clinicians, and learners to support the delivery of simulation training. Innovation & Development: Contribute to continuous improvement by staying up to date with new technologies and supporting service development projects.
