Pupil Support Worker - 36.00 Hours / 52 weeks
Working hours: Monday-Thursday on a shift rota of either 7.45-4.00 pm or 10.00-6.00 pm. Friday 7.45-12.45 pm.

Whitdale ELC, located in Whitburn, serves children aged two to five with am, pm, and full-day sessions. The nursery features spacious learning areas, a garden, indoor/outdoor spaces, and breakout rooms. It operates 50 weeks per year with staff working flexibly across opening hours.
We seek to appoint a nurturing and motivated Pupil Support Worker. The successful candidate will support children's individual care, health, wellbeing, and safety, ensuring a secure learning environment.
The candidate should be solution-focused, with an understanding of supporting pupils in educational settings and fostering positive relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will work effectively as part of our ELC team to support children's learning.
This position requires registration with the SSSC within six months of starting. Applicants must submit their registration within three months of employment. If already registered, please add West Lothian Council to your SSSC account.
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates must join or update their PVG scheme before a formal offer of employment.
