We are partnered with a leading M&E and building services contractor renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable solutions across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bid Manager to join their team, which is based in Leatherhead. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end bid process, from initial opportunity identification to final submission, ensuring high-quality, competitive, and compliant proposals that align with our business growth objectives. This can be predominately a remote role, with office travel required every few weeks.
Bid Management: Oversee the full bid lifecycle, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to devise winning bid strategies that highlight our unique selling points and meet client requirements.
Content Creation: Contribute to the writing and editing of proposals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with client needs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams, including estimating, procurement, and project management, to gather necessary information for bids.
Proven experience in bid management within the M&E or construction industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including design, installation, and project delivery.
Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to create compelling bid responses.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop competitive pricing strategies.
Proficiency in bid software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
APMP or equivalent bid management certification is desirable.
