The Position Production Supervisor Job Summary Location: Cliffe Vale, Stoke Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between the hours of 7am and 4pm) (Flexibility is required) Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience with an annual performance-based bonus of up to 10% Why work for Imerys? To plan, organise and supervise the day to day and forward planning of the processing operations to meet market requirements for quality, consistency and quantity of product within the required dispatch timescale to ensure that the budgeted gross margin is achieved or exceeded. To supervise & lead the processing teams in forward planning to meet all customer requirements Maintain a close relationship with the shift Charge Hands to achieve the weekly and daily production targets for quality and tonnage. Maintain a close relationship with Logistics and site administration to meet changing customer demands and manage expectations. Plan and implement all (processing, milling,) engineering activities to be within budgeted cost. Collate information and produce KPI reports as requested as well as producing monthly management reports. Identify, present and implement CAPEX projects as required to maintain the business. To produce all products within the agreed budgeted costs. To ensure environmental compliance of the Cliffe Vale site. Ensure continuous improvement through considering methods of improving performance by challenging existing practices and implementing change by embracing the iCube philosophy throughout the processing operations. To liaise with the Laboratory Supervisor regarding production requirements directly linked to laboratory activities, maintaining continuity of supply. To notify the Site Manager of any problems that could lead to delayed supply to a customer and also notify them and the Accounts Manager of any unbudgeted or increased costs Deputise for the Cliffe Vale Site Manager when required. Responsible for Health & Safety of those on site by performing regular inspection, documentation and review of risk assessments and promoting the company policies and procedures. To lead the processing teams and contractors in promoting and developing safety awareness culture with the objective of achieving a zero accident state Assist with the sourcing and induction of contractors, in particular the processing contractors within the annual budgeted cost Responsible for four shift Charge Hands and shift operatives. Deal with all incident / accident and disciplinary issues on site that may arise. Ensure full and effective communication at all levels, so that effective working relationships are developed and maintained. Do you have the following attributes? Come from an engineering background with previous experience of working with/ on processing plant equipment, including Filtration systems, Milling machines, Conveyors, Mixing, Blowing and Pumping machines and Motors. Along with: Educated to GCSE or A level or equivalent Safety Qualification e.g. IOSH Environmental Awareness - ISO14001 Quality system awareness - ISO9001 Previous leadership experience A high degree of Health and Safety awareness and competence Legally being able to drive in the UK Eager to contribute and get involved.
