GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from attentive Exam Invigilators to work in schools across Gateshead. This is a great opportunity to support the smooth running of examinations and ensure a fair environment for all pupils.
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in supervising exams, maintaining exam conditions, and supporting pupils throughout the process.
Key Duties of Exam Invigilator:
* Supervise pupils during examinations in line with exam regulations.
* Ensure a calm, quiet, and controlled environment.
* Distribute and collect exam papers and materials.
* Provide clear instructions to pupils before and during exams.
* Monitor behaviour and prevent any malpractice.
* Report any issues or irregularities to the exams officer.
Essential Requirements:
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional approach.
* Ability to remain calm and observant throughout exam sessions.
* Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
