As a Recovery College Lead, you will be managing the day to day running of the South Tyneside Recovery College service whilst developing our countywide offer through codesign and collaborative based work. This will be a rewarding and meaningful role for anyone with an interest in working with people experiencing mental health difficulties and those with lived experience.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Plan and organise day-to-day tasks within the college and work to agreed plans for tasks required within the termly cycle to support with day-to-day operations.
* Provide effective support in the maintenance of budgets to assist with cost centre spend in line with the NRC service budget.
* Monitor the service to ensure that the South Tyneside Recovery College meets all relevant quality standards, and achieves the key delivery targets/outcomes to meet expectations within commissioning contracts.
* Assist with contract monitoring arrangements, such as collecting and reporting on monthly key performance indicator data, impact analysis and review processes, to keep in line with contractual requirements.
* Provide effective line management of Peer Support Workers including HR processes to support high quality delivery.
* Co-design the service with people with lived experience are at the core of the way that the Recovery College delivers services in line with service improvement
* Deliver courses both face to face and via digital platforms using a range of learning aids to provide inclusive training that is accessible countywide.
* Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.
About You
* Demonstrable experience of working with individuals and communities on areas of mental health improvement.
* Demonstrable experience of managing a team with associated HR processes
* Demonstrable experience in VCSE, health or social care sector
* Demonstrable experience of building networks in community based projects
* Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering training programmes and or group-work.
* Demonstrable experience of engaging stakeholders and partners.
* Demonstrable experience of planning, organising and scheduling activities for self and others, across a variety of venues and liaising with internal and external partners.
* Understanding of national and local organisations and other resources that can support individuals to improve and maintain good metal health.
* Developed communication skills, orally and in writing
* Developed relationship building skills
* Developed interpersonal skills
* Developed IT skills including Office 365
* High level of enthusiasm and motivation
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to undertake CPD as part of your role
* Ability to work individually or within a team and foster good working relationships
