Job Purpose As Part-Time Admin Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our centre running smoothly and ensuring our students feel supported throughout their journey. You’ll combine administrative precision with a welcoming approach, making sure our records are accurate, our students feel cared for, and our social media reflects the vibrant life at Bayswater Leeds. You will also contribute to safeguarding and student welfare, helping us maintain a safe, supportive environment where every student can thrive. Key Responsibilities Student Support & Welfare Act as a friendly first point of contact for student queries, offering helpful and timely support. Assist with student inductions and feedback collection. Carry out weekly welfare check-ins with under-18 students, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and overall satisfaction. Escalate any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures. Help ensure students receive clear and accurate information before and during their stay. Administration Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our student database, app, guided e-learning platform, and other systems. Support with generating simple reports for the team. Ensure administrative tasks are completed in line with safeguarding and compliance procedures. Social Media & Content Collect photos, testimonials, and stories from student activities and events. Share content ideas with the team to showcase student life at Bayswater Leeds. Assist with posting and scheduling light social media content when. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Confident using IT tools (MS Office, databases, email, social media). Friendly, approachable, and able to multitask in a busy environment. Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and apply it in daily responsibilities. Desirable: Previous experience in a customer-facing or student services role. Interest or experience in creating social media content. Experience working with young people or international students. Personal Attributes Positive and proactive with a “can-do” attitude. Empathetic and approachable, enjoying working with people from different backgrounds. Flexible and willing to support across different areas of the centre when needed. A genuine interest in education and cultural exchange. Legal Requirements Eligibility to live and work in the UK. Enhanced DBS Disclosure (safeguarding requirement).
