Interim Commercial Director Charity / Social Care Hybrid – (With Travel Required) 6 months (potential to extend) Day Rate: £600-750 a day Eaton Syalon are working alongside a leading Charity with a national footprint to hire a Commercial Director on an interim basis to lead on managing complex funding/commissioning arrangements with local authorities and NHS bodies. As Interim Commercial Director you will work alongside the senior team to strengthen their commercial function, with a particular focus on contractual oversight, commercial performance, and commissioner relationships. Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercial management of NHS and local authority contracts, ensuring performance against agreed KPIs and financial sustainability. Support the Finance and Operational teams with pricing models, income forecasting, and contract profitability analysis. Build and maintain effective relationships with commissioners, acting as a key liaison on contract performance, renewals, and new opportunities. Drive improvements in contractual compliance, governance, and commercial reporting. Identify and evaluate opportunities for commercial growth, improved efficiency, or risk mitigation across the funded services portfolio. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a commercial leadership role within the NHS, social care, local authority, or charity sector. Strong working knowledge of public sector commissioning processes, especially within adult social care or supported living environments. Financially literate with the ability to model, challenge, and influence commercial performance. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, especially in regulated or complex environments. Hands-on, collaborative, and outcome-driven approach — comfortable operating at pace in an interim capacity.
