CNC Machinist / Programmer, Setter, Operator
Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
£37,000 – £40,000 per annum, plus overtime paid above the standard hourly rate.
Permanent, days-based role, Monday to Friday
We’re recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join an engineering manufacturer producing high-grade stainless-steel parts and components for bespoke equipment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can confidently programme, set and operate CNC machining equipment, working from engineering drawings through to finished machined parts ready for the next stage of fabrication.
You’ll be working with Haas machining centres and lathes, producing precision components through a mix of turning, milling, benchwork and finishing.
Key Responsibilities
As CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting and running CNC equipment to produce high-quality stainless-steel parts.
You’ll be taking SolidWorks drawings and converting them into G-code, then manufacturing the part on the machining centre or lathe to the required specification.
The role will also involve carrying out finishing work, using precision measuring tools, and supporting general workshop activity when machining work is quieter.

* Operating associated workshop equipment, including grinders and pillar drills
* Preparing finished parts for the next stage of fabrication or assembly
* Carrying out daily and weekly maintenance on the equipment you use
* Supporting other team members with assembly work when machining is not required
What We’re Looking For
* We’re looking for someone with previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Miller or CNC Turner.
* You’ll need to be comfortable working from drawings, producing accurate components, and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.
* Experience with Haas machining centres and Haas lathes would be highly beneficial, although wider CNC machining experience will also be considered.

Why Apply?
This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established engineering business where you’ll be producing real, high-quality components used in the build of bespoke equipment.
The role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to work across machining, finishing and assembly support rather than simply standing at a machine all day
