Role Overview:
As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and analytical skills. You ll support pupils in developing historical knowledge, understanding key events, and making connections between the past and the present.
Responsibilities as a History Teacher:
* Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that follow the national curriculum.
* Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages enquiry and debate.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Support individual learning needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Contribute to departmental planning, assessments, and enrichment activities.
Requirements for the History Teacher role:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
* A degree in History or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching History at school level.
* Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
* Ability to inspire students and promote a positive learning experience.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
