About the Role
Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a Construction Manager to work on-site as part of a cutting-edge infrastructure upgrade programme supporting the MOD's warship and submarine projects.
Successful candidates must be Security Cleared prior to appointment and meet UK Security Clearance eligibility requirements.
An IR35 assessment is required to determine the correct tax status, including an individual Limited Company assessment.
Role Purpose
As a Construction Manager, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate with other functions, and ensure safe execution of site construction works. You should have strong knowledge of CDM, construction, and health and safety legislation. You will chair stakeholder and supplier meetings at a senior level, communicate effectively, and understand nuclear safety and design management.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop construction management processes and strategies.
* Mentor the construction delivery team.
* Align wider business strategies across multiple programmes.
* Promote safety culture and enforce site rules.
* Complete SQEP assessments for construction roles.
* Coordinate with wider construction teams.
* Contribute to project planning, design reviews, and contract scopes.
* Manage project portfolios and support stakeholder delivery.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of construction experience.
* OND, HND, Degree, or equivalent, with membership in a recognized construction professional body.
* SMSTS certification.
* CSCS Card.
* Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures.
