TimePlan Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work at an SEN School in Swanley, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a supportive SEN setting, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in children's lives.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day. You will work with children who have a range of identified SEN needs, supporting learning inside the classroom, taking part in targeted interventions, and assisting during some break times. The school is an all-through school supporting children from 7 - 19 years old. The school also has a number of facilities to further support the children.
Some pupils may present with more challenging behaviours; however, the school offers a strong support structure and TimePlan Education provides FREE Team Teach training to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared. You will work closely with the SENCO, senior leadership team, and external professionals such as therapists and healthcare services.

Job Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with a range of learning difficulties, including EAL
Engaging and motivating pupils to access learning
Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
Assisting with personal care where required
Working collaboratively as part of a wider SEN support team

Job Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Proactive and reliable
Strong behaviour management skills
Enhanced DBS (Child and Adult) on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
Available to work 5 days per week and commit to at least 2-6 months
