About the role
The Pricing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping both short- and long-term strategies across various revenue streams, including exhibition space, sponsorship and digital offerings, as well as value-added services. This role demands a strong foundation in pricing, advanced data analytics capabilities, and well-developed analytical, leadership, communication, and collaboration skills—underpinned by robust business acumen.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with brand and cross-functional teams to define pricing objectives, priorities, and success metrics for each show.
2. Develop and execute strategic and tactical pricing plans, including launch pricing and yield management for exhibitor spaces and sponsorships.
3. Analyse internal and external data to generate actionable pricing insights and support decision-making.
4. Monitor market conditions and competitor actions to make agile pricing adjustments that support revenue goals.
5. Ensure all pricing decisions align with governance processes and are supported by impact reporting.
6. Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes to support growth while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
7. Lead pricing experimentation and A/B testing to understand price elasticity and inform value-based strategies.
8. Provide mentorship and guidance to pricing analysts across UK and Manila offices, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Requirements
9. Proven experience in pricing strategy development and execution, ideally in events, exhibitions, or a related industry.
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear pricing actions.
11. Familiarity with yield management, value-based pricing, and scenario modelling techniques.
12. Experience using pricing tools, dashboards, and business intelligence platforms to track performance.
13. Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders.
14. Knowledge of macroeconomic and industry trends and their impact on pricing and consumer behaviour.
15. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.
