This role will be fundamental to the delivery and running of a high quality and effective Lung Cancer Service, which aims to identify asymptomatic individuals and provide early diagnosis of lung cancer and other lung diseases.

Implemented across the UK in high prevalence areas, the service focuses on early-stage lung cancer recognition and curative treatment. Our nursing teams provide a 7-day service, including bank holidays, across all programmes. Candidates must be adaptable to mobile working and willing to work 12-hour shifts.

Job responsibilities
Role: Nurse
This role is essential for delivering and managing a high-quality Lung Cancer Screening service, which aims to identify asymptomatic individuals and facilitate early diagnosis of lung diseases.
The programme supports early detection of lung cancer to save lives, operating throughout the UK in high prevalence areas to recognize early-stage lung cancer and offer curative treatment.
Our nursing teams provide a 7-day service, including bank holidays. Candidates must be flexible with mobile working and willing to work 12-hour shifts.
* Provide virtual and face-to-face nurse-led clinics; assess patients against risk criteria; refer high-risk patients to Low-Dose CT.
* Deliver respiratory assessments and smoking cessation advice as part of the screening process.
* Promote health initiatives related to lung cancer screening.
* Raise safeguarding concerns when necessary.
* Manage patients with red flags or medical emergencies.
* Maintain IRMER accreditation (training provided during induction).
* Attain and maintain ARTP accreditation for spirometry if required.
* Work autonomously and coordinate with the wider team.
* Support clinical administration to ensure effective programme operation.
Qualifications and experience
* Registered Nurse at first level.
* Minimum of two years' experience in respiratory nursing at Band 5.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
* Good IT skills and familiarity with various software.
* Commitment to diversity, integrity, and openness.
* Willingness to undertake further training to support service needs.
* Valid driving license.
