Contek are working with a client in Cornwall who manufacture precision parts for various sectors including Defence, General manufacturing and Automotive markets.
Through growth we are looking for experienced CNC Setters (Milling or Turning) to join the team on a permanent basis.
With quality manufacture of a first class product achieved through the exceptional skill and experience of their award winning workforce. With over 100 man-years of resistance welding experience, in their technical support team alone, they are able to provide solutions from the traditional to the advanced, for even the most complex application.
They offer 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC Precision Milling, CNC Turning, CNC Grinding, EDM Spark erosion and EDM Wire erosion.
Key objectives and areas of responsibility:
1/. Experience in setting and running HAAS CNC mills would be beneficial.
2/. Experience in setting and running Multi Axis CNC lathes.
3/. Experience required in setting and operating XYZ Prototrak controls would be beneficial
4/. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and apply these to the machined components
3/. Maintaining the companies long tradition of supplying quality products to a wide client base.
4/. Has responsibility on working with both small and large batch sizes on high value components
5/. Successful applicants will need to be self-motivated and able to work to customer-specific deadlines.
- The salary is negotiable depending on experience of the successful candidate.

- Working hours: Basic 39hr week- Day shift = Mon/Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am 12.30pm
Morning shift = Mon/Thurs 6am - 2.00pm, Fri 6am 1.00pm Late shift = Mon/Thurs 2.00pm – 10pm, Fri 1pm - 8.00pm
