Our client is seeking a dedicated Technical Condition Assessment Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where innovation and teamwork are prioritized.
Reporting to the Technical Maintenance Manager, this position provides comprehensive support in overseeing and managing condition assessment and monitoring processes, analysis, contracts, reporting, and aiding decision-making based on this data. The successful candidate will continuously seek improvement opportunities in these activities and support the condition assessment team in delivering quality assurance initiatives.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Essential
* Recognized proficiency in Vibration Analysis technologies, e.g., BINDT Cat1/2.
* Knowledge of lubrication applications, sampling, and result interpretation.
* Experience in maritime or similar industries, capable of exercising sound judgment in proactive and reactive condition analysis techniques.
* Knowledge of vessel or asset surveying, including hydraulics, electrics, oil analysis, dropped objects, ultrasonic, and radar steel survey techniques.
* Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work with staff and build relationships at all levels internally and externally.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent document, data, and process management skills.
* Ability to collate and report effective management information.
Desirable
* Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
* 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Highly desirable: BINDT Vibration Analyst CAT II, BINDT Thermographer CAT II, BINDT Lubrication Management CAT I.
* Experience in commercial ship operations and management.
* Experience with quality management systems, processes, and procedures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Condition Assessment
* Manage oil analysis and vibration monitoring programmes, including contracts, report reviews, and implementing recommendations.
* Conduct condition assessment and monitoring tasks on vessels as instructed.
* Support baseline establishment for all vessels and provide reports to management and crews.
* Identify and implement improvements to monitoring programmes and processes.
* Assist in providing proactive data for vessel reliability meetings.
* Create and manage condition monitoring dashboards.
* Assist in budgeting for condition assessment activities and control costs.
* Provide condition assessment data from maintenance and defect management systems.
* Maximize condition assessment efficiency on current and new vessels.
Stakeholder Liaison
* Coordinate with Chief Engineers to ensure issues are addressed appropriately.
* Support management of condition monitoring contracts.
* Manage contractor activities and schedules.
* Participate in operational meetings as directed.
* Collaborate with the Fleet Management Department to ensure quality and performance of condition assessments.
