Overview
The Governance Professional will be line managed by the Head of Governance and be accountable to the Local Governing Bodies of the schools they support.
Requirements
* Desirable but not essential: previous experience of education, academies and clerking responsibilities; initial training will be provided along with ongoing development opportunities.
* Flexibility, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
* Aptitude for initiative and self-management
* Excellent planning and organisation skills
* Effective communication and ICT skills
* A proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
Some meetings will take place remotely but the majority will be face to face with each Local Governing Body and the successful candidate will be required to attend all planned meetings. Meetings can take place in the day or early evenings and so flexible availability are essential as is the ability to travel.
Role details
The role is for 9 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time).
The role will require the successful candidate to be able to grow as the trust continues to expand with new schools wanting to join us.
