Role Description
IG Doors is seeking a full-time Quality Engineer to join their team in Blackwood. This on-site role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining assurance protocols to ensure products meet company standards and customer expectations. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, conduct audits, and resolve quality issues promptly.
Responsibilities
* 1.Quality Planning: Lead and support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product launches.
* 2.Culture: Promote a strong quality culture throughout the business and supply chain, and drive a behavioral approach to “Right First Time, Every Time” Quality culture
* 3.Problem Solving: Investigate internal and customer quality concerns using structured techniques like 8D, 5 Whys, and Fish bone (FMEA) analysis to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective action.
* 4.Auditing: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external/certification audits to verify compliance with established processes and procedures against ISO 9001 requirements.
* 5.Continuous Improvement: Monitor and drive improvement of key KPIs including waste, rework rates, and overall RFT process performance.
* 6.Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of activities, including process flow diagrams, control plans, and risk mitigation plans. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
* 7.Training and Support: Provide training and support to production teams on proper implementation of techniques and adherence to established process controls. Foster a culture of proactive risk management and quality assurance
* 8.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments to address process challenges, implement best practices, and drive innovation.
* 9.Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and companypolicies related to manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
* 10.Deputising: Act in the absence of the Quality Manager, overseeing all quality management systems and processes.
Qualifications
* 2.Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) membership or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
* 3.Proficiency in process simulation, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
* 4.Experience with audit planning, conducting internal and supplier audits, and ensuring compliance.
* 5.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* 6.Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and 8D.
* 7.Knowledge of quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
