Job Summary
We are seeking to recruit a number of Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to join our Nurse Team in Walsall Healthcare's Emergency Department with opportunities for those with ED experience or those willing to expand their portfolio. Applicants with Emergency Department experience with their Level 3 NVQ in Healthcare are essential; full support and development will be provided as part of an extensive induction, orientation and personalised learning plan during your time in ED. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Emergency Department Nursing Team as we expand the nursing workforce and support progression through your Nursing career in Emergency Care. The applicant will, on a daily basis, use clinical skills, knowledge and judgment to lead a workforce across the Emergency Department to provide safe, responsive and effective care to patients.

Main duties of the job
The Nursing Team at Walsall’s Emergency Department has invested to expand the workforce across nursing roles and increase training and education time for all nursing colleagues within ED. Applicants will benefit from this investment in education, skills and knowledge and dedicated time for learning.
New posts are being created with Practice Development roles expanding to support the delivery of our education programme for both new and substantive staff. For newly qualified staff, there will be a focus on developing nursing skills in Emergency Care.

It provides inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of community services. The Manor houses a full range of district general hospital services. Job Description
Job responsibilities
The post holder will predominantly support in higher-acuity areas of the Emergency Department, such as resus, mental health and triage, supporting the delivery of high-quality standards of care. The post holder must have a passion for emergency medicine and be willing to develop skills to meet service needs and development. Our department provides access to a range of learning environments including courses to increase clinical skills and knowledge, as well as in-house opportunities. We offer post-registration courses via Wolverhampton University in Emergency Care of the Child and mentorship. We encourage department link nurses and are developing departmental champions to support the team. We aim to recruit nurses who will work in a Multi-Disciplinary Team to aid audits and service developments, and in leadership roles will manage a team of nurses to ensure appraisal and training are up to date and provide the management to support the ED team.
