Protocol Edcuation are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant for one of our schools in Sunderland.
About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing specialist setting where every child is given the tools and support to thrive. As a SEND TA, you’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a learning environment built on trust, belonging, and opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse needs
* Supporting the delivery of tailored learning programmes
* Promoting independence and emotional wellbeing in every interaction
* Working closely with the SENCO and wider team to adapt strategies that make a real difference
* Encouraging pupils to embrace challenges with confidence and resilience

* Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise)
* A patient, calm, and positive approach to behaviour management
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
