ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Service Centre Operators are at the heart of what we do. It's not an easy role, but it's a rewarding one, which is why we believe in harnessing your talents and creating opportunities to develop you and your career with Ballance.
This role is based at our Ashburton store, however there may be the occasional time where we may need you to be available to help out in other operations.
A typical day will include:
9. Processing customer orders and inquiries - checking accuracy and fixing up any anomalies
10. Loader and forklift operation including maintenance
11. Fixed plant operation
12. Ensuring the site operates safely with regular maintenance checks
13. Interacting with customers and colleagues and having a laugh!
You will never be bored in this role and you get to stay active by getting out and interacting with our customers and operating the machinery.
ABOUT YOU
You’re not afraid of hard work and you get energy from getting stuck in and helping out where needed. Your colleagues would describe you as reliable, honest and a keen learner and you also have:
14. Good communication skills with the ability to relate well to others
15. Some computer skills are required with training provided for our in-house systems
16. A valid full class 1 license as training can be provided for forklift and loader operations.
17. A proactive attitude to health, safety and environmental management - we care about each other and we get home safe every day
18. The ability to work at other Ballance sites from time to time
