Overview
The successful candidate will support the Senior Education Officer in delivering the strategic vision, values, and aims of the service, ensuring the provision of a high-quality, efficient, and effective Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Service. As part of West Dunbartonshire Council's central Early Years Team, you will contribute to continuous improvement across our ELC settings and funded ELC providers. You will work collaboratively within a central team of officers to promote and implement high-quality outcomes through play pedagogy approaches at the early level and for children aged 0-3 years.
Responsibilities
* Support, develop, and maintain high standards across our early years provision.
* Collaborate within the Early Years Central Team of Education Support Officers to promote high-quality outcomes through play pedagogy approaches at the early level and for children aged 0-3 years.
* Report to and take direction from the Senior Education Officer for ELC.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across ELC settings and funded ELC providers.
Requirements
* Proven experience of leading and managing at early level is essential.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated capability in modelling exemplary standards of ELC leadership.
* Strong knowledge and experience of implementing Curriculum for Excellence at the early level.
* A deep understanding of national guidance, particularly Realising the Ambition: Being Me.
* A commitment to sustaining ELC improvement and delivering high-quality learning and teaching.
