We have a team of staff working towards delivering requests for information under UK Data Protection Laws and under the Freedom of Information Act.
It is a busy role but the team is a good-natured group of individuals who are friendly and supportive.
We will support some flexibility of working patterns which could include, after a period of training, a 4‑day week with compressed hours or a 9‑day fortnight (slightly longer shifts). There is some flexibility to accommodate slightly reduced hours.
Responsibilities
* This post holder will be involved in all aspects of administration of the Freedom Of Information Act process supported by FOIA Practitioners within the Information Governance Team.
* The post holder will also work with a small team delivering against Data Protection legislation for the provision of personal records upon request to a mandated time period.
* The post holder will work with a number of clinical and non‑clinical IT systems which they will be trained to use, mainly to manage requests made under Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations to ensure the Trust is legislatively compliant.
* Record all activity for FOI/EIR on Datix to ensure a well‑documented chronology of the requests from acknowledgment to formal written response.
* Support the Disclosure Team when able in the delivery of in excess of 300 disclosure Subject Access requests a month, including Health Records and Human Resources files.
* Answer calls from requestors to assist with their enquiries.
* Concentrate for long periods to ensure accuracy of work as all work is measured against legal compliance.
