Are you ready to join the senior leadership team in Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC)?
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to provide operational leadership and effective services delivery across Urgent & Emergency services at Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Stamford and Rutland Hospital.
You will collaborate closely with the Deputy Divisional Operations Director, Service Managers, and Clinical and Nursing Leads within the division to implement our Urgent and Emergency Care operational and transformation agenda across the Trust, demonstrating a successful record of leadership and project management accomplishments.
As the main point of contact for resolving any operational issues on a daily basis, you will be able to keep calm and be an empathetic and compassionate leader who can operate effectively within a high-pressured environment.
Aiming to be a champion in providing excellent patient care, you act as role model in inspiring a high performance, inclusive and supportive culture that strives for service innovation, improvement and development.
You will have previous management and leadership expertise in Urgent and Emergency care with a sound knowledge of processes including the legislation and policy relating to health and social care, and keen interest in innovation and achieving excellence.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the operations leadership and management for your responsible service such as coordinate the planning, development and implementation of service improvement.
You will provide cross cover within the Urgent and Emergency Care services across all sites as required.
You will lead the service areas you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of key targets within the budgeted resources available. You will contribute to strategic and annual business planning for your service areas, including the engagement of senior medical and other staff, as required.
You will support the clinical governance processes within your areas and assist in the management of risk.

11. Management experience in an Urgent and Emergency care setting with a sound knowledge of processes including the legislation and policy relating to health and social care.
12. Experience of the management of patient flow
13. Proven experience in an operational management role and experience of managing change
14. Demonstrable success in project management/ service redesign.
15. Proven success in delivering change and performance with and through management and clinical teams.
16. Experience of managing a multidisciplinary team and ability to build high performance teams.
