PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED
We are looking to recruit a flexible, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to join our GP Practice reception and administration team.
The role is for 29 hours per week:
* Monday 08:30 - 13:30
* Thursday 13:30 - 18:30
* Friday 13:30 - 18:30
The surgery is open from 8 am to 6:30 pm.
Main duties of the job
Experience required: Strong interpersonal skills, confidence in dealing with patients both on the telephone and in person, confidentiality, and previous experience in administration, prescription preparation, and reception duties are advantageous. Computer literacy and familiarity with systems like SystmOne are also beneficial. Training will be provided.

Job description:
* Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors.
* Assist patients in accessing appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously and efficiently.
* Undertake administrative duties to support the Practice, including clerical support, data entry, and record keeping.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
* Manage appointments, incoming/outgoing mail, messages, and paperwork.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to health & safety policies.
* Support equality and diversity policies, and participate in training and professional development.
* Contribute to quality improvement and team effectiveness.
* Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and carers.
* Participate in service implementation and audits.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good general education, GCSE Mathematics C or above, GCSE English C or above, NVQII in Customer Care.
Experience
* Experience working with the public, reception work, and within General Practice.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills, polite telephone manner, time management, interpersonal skills.
Behaviours
* Smart, polite, confident, organized, able to perform under pressure, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, maintains confidentiality.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of SystmOne.
