The University is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Admissions Manager to support the activities of a busy Admissions Unit.
The Admissions Manager will coordinate the work of a team of Admissions Officers, coordinating the work of their team across all levels and modes of study at Cardiff Metropolitan University. As well as provide expertise in specified course and admissions processes to achieve agreed student number recruitment targets.
You'll Support By
* Being a key liaison point between the Admissions Department and the Academic Schools, advising on qualifications and entry requirements. The role will involve providing in-cycle applicant updates, ensuring an efficient service, translating in high quality service to both the Academic Schools and the applicant experience.
* Assisting the Head of Admissions to instil and maintain a culture of professionalism, responsibility and accountability. The role holder will oversee a fair, transparent and responsive admissions service in line with University’s policies and external compliance with statutory regulations such as UCAS, UKVI and DBS.
* Working closely with the Head of Admissions to significantly contribute to modernising the Admission’s activity. This will include enhancing staff and applicant experience by delivering streamlined, efficient, simplified, standardised processes and new ways of working via the use of technology.
What You’ll Bring
Your will have significant knowledge and experience of admissions processes and procedures in higher education, knowledge of UK, EU and International qualifications, as well as an understanding of equality and diversity. You will also bring strong team management experience with proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
You Will Also Have
* Experience in working, influencing and negotiating with stakeholder groups in a similar role is required. As well as experience of working in a busy environment, providing an excellent level of service to both applicants, staff and external bodies.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills are required, involving experience of scheduling and prioritising multiple projects and tasks with carrying deadlines.
* You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to understand, explain and apply.
