Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Conveyance Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive conveyance support within our conveyance department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily conveyancing activities, managing correspondence, and dealing with transactions from onset of opening files and to post completion. The position is paid and suitable for applicants with prior conveyance experience.
Duties
Prepare, conveyance files from onset through to every day conveyance matters to post completion in Land Registry and Stamp Duty payments.
Organise and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
Schedule appointments, client appointments and dates calendars efficiently.
Liaise with clients, Lenders, and external agencies via phone, email, and written correspondence with excellent communication skills.
Assist with the organisation of legal files and case materials to ensure compliance with confidentiality standards.
Manage incoming calls and emails promptly while prioritising urgent matters effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems relevant to legal administration.
Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues.
Exceptional time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively throughout the day.
Good understanding of conveyance legal terminology and procedures is essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their career as a Conveyance Legal Secretary within a small friendly legal practice.
