SAFRAN ELECTRICAL & POWER UK LTD recrute:
The Procurement Lead/Senior Buyer is responsible for allocated suppliers for the assigned commodity, expediting orders placed by Safran Electrical & Power UK Ltd. They will also act as a point of escalation for the Buyers, coaching and supporting them in achieving their KPIs and delivering improvements.
There will also be a need for significant interaction with both internal and external stakeholders as part of a cross-functional Global Supply Chain team to support the next phase of transformation.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for allocated suppliers across the commodity.
2. Act as the focal point for all day-to-day material requirements across an agreed range of suppliers.
3. Work with suppliers and coordinate with other Buyers to ensure deliveries are on-time, in full, and aligned with the needs of the business.
4. Act as a first point of escalation for analysis and resolution of changes to planned supply, keeping line management updated, and presenting options for business sign-off where appropriate.
5. Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure updates on supply status for their programs and take actions on behalf of Purchasing.
6. Drive improvement actions via KPI review and maintenance, including supplier acknowledgements, requisitions to purchase order conversion, late purchase orders, and action messages.
7. Understand and execute the wider business strategy for their assigned suppliers/commodities.
8. Manage invoice clearance to ensure issues are investigated and resolved to maintain line flow.
9. Perform Requests for Quotations on stranger parts as required.
10. Manage deliveries of purchase orders to be just-in-time for inventory management.
11. Work with suppliers to resolve issues impacting performance, such as quality discrepancies, booking queries, permits/concessions, or invoice issues, and implement corrective actions.
12. Manage returns to vendors via the NCT process.
13. Collaborate with Purchasing, SRPM, SQA, and Vendors to ensure/create robust and efficient supply chains.
14. Coordinate with the Commodity team for new vendor introductions.
Qualifications & Skills:
* CIPS Level 4 or above is desirable.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically procurement within a controlled environment (e.g., AS9100).
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Natural leadership style to foster teamwork.
* Flexible and adaptable attitude.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, IT, and planning skills.
* Experience managing supplier schedules and operational procurement is desirable.
* Experience with production control systems in lean manufacturing or planning/purchasing areas is advantageous.
* Energetic, results-oriented individual.
* Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently.
