An exciting opportunity has arisen for an for an experienced Bookkeeper to work within an established team and a busy environment, centrally located at our Dock Road Office. This is a fully office based role.

About you.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Buyer / Purchasing role and looking to join a growing organisation for the next step in their career.
You will be responsible for recording and processing daily financial transactions, updating the sales & purchase ledgers, and preparing Monthly Management Accounts. Maintain and file requisite documents for taxation compliance. Experience and Qualifications:
5 years experience in a Purchasing Manager or Similar role - Required
Experience with Sage Line 200 Desirable
CIPS qualification Desirable
Role Specifications:
Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying supplier and customer invoices
Implementing bookkeeping policies and procedures
Daily bank reconciliation
Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly VAT returns
Reconciling entries to balance customer & supplier accounts
Maintaining a balanced general ledger
Preparing monthly management accounts
Preparing financial reports by analysing and summarising accounts information
Monitoring and reporting on variances against the plan
Advising management on financial and taxation compliance
Assisting with other financial activities such as running payroll
Bookkeeper - the ideal applicant will have:
Professional finance qualification such as AAT
Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of accounting standards and UK GAAP and accounting processes
Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel and extensive experience of Sage 200 transactions and reporting
Management Accounts experience
