Overview
A public sector client based in Suffolk is recruiting for a Housing Asset Management Lead to join their Housing Leadership and HRA Capital Investment Team on an interim, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within housing, construction or property asset management at a senior level in a local authority environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership across housing asset management, oversee the council’s housing portfolio and lead on major investment programmes.
* Ensure compliance with housing legislation, deliver value for money programmes, and develop long-term strategies to improve homes and services.
* Lead completion of full stock condition and HHSRS surveys across the housing portfolio.
* Design and manage multi-year housing investment programmes supported by robust data.
* Oversee the delivery of the £12m Warm Homes Scheme and associated procurement activity.
* Develop a new Asset Management Strategy for the HRA portfolio.
* Provide expert technical and professional advice to the Housing Leadership Team, members, and stakeholders.
Candidate requirements
* Relevant Level 6 qualification in the built environment (or equivalent).
* Proven experience leading housing asset management or construction-related projects from inception to delivery.
* Chartered membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, CIH or similar (beneficial).
* Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, procurement legislation and housing compliance standards (beneficial).
* Experience managing large budgets and delivering major capital investment schemes (beneficial).
Remuneration and application
The client is offering £350 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £300 per day PAYE).
