This position is for a clinical support assistant in the post anaesthetic care unit/recovery and theatre patient reception at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan.
Requirements include an NVQ level 3 in healthcare, with a preference for candidates working towards or willing to work towards a level 3 diploma in perioperative care, and ideally theatre experience. The candidate should be enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 08:00 to 20:45.
The trust provides a 24-hour emergency service for adult and paediatric patients across seven main theatres covering various specialties.
This role involves face-to-face patient contact, which may include contact with individuals who have COVID-19.
