We are an independent garage, established in 2011, carrying out servicing, repairs and MOT station (class1, 2 4, 5 and 7). We work on all makes of vehicle up to 3.5 tonne
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Vehicle Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
* Perform maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre replacements
* Utilise schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems effectively
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for repairs and assembly tasks
* Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
* Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repairs needed and services offered
* Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve service delivery
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Ability to read and interpret schematics for various vehicle systems
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
* Experience in assembly tasks related to vehicle components
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of the repair process
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Training to be a MOT tester for the successful candidate
