Head of Strategic Account Management – Service (NHS & Private Groups)

You must have experience leading teams selling into BOTH the NHS and private healthcare groups. Individual contributors will not be considered.
The Opportunity
We are supporting a leading service-based healthcare organisation delivering complex, long-term solutions across both the NHS and private healthcare sector.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for leading a team of 6 Strategic Account Managers, owning the performance, retention and growth of a portfolio of high-value, long-term contracts.
This is about protecting, growing and renewing key strategic accounts at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and developing a team of 6 Strategic Account Managers, driving performance and accountability
* Owning the retention, growth and renewal strategy across a portfolio of complex healthcare contracts
* Embedding a structured, consistent approach to account management, including planning, governance and performance tracking
* Driving early-stage renewal planning, ensuring contracts are secured well ahead of procurement cycles
* Building and maintaining senior-level relationships across NHS Trusts, ICBs and private healthcare groups
* Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance and Operations to ensure delivery and commercial success
* Strengthening the organisation’s position as a strategic partner, not just a supplier

* Proven experience managing and leading a team (essential)
* Experience managing individuals who sell into:
Strong background in:
* Strategic Account Management
* Complex, long-term service or solution-based sales
* Ability to operate at senior stakeholder / Board level
* Strong commercial acumen, able to understand contracts, value and long-term revenue drivers
* Experience working in multi-stakeholder, cross-functional environments
