Consultant Psychiatrist, Child & Adolescent
Location: North East Hampshire, Aldershot Centre for Health.
Salary: NHS consultant grade £109,725 - £145,478 per annum plus £149 fringe and on-call requirement.
Recruitment & Retention payment of £25,000 (pro rata for part-time), relocation allowance up to £8,000, CPD allowance up to £2,000 per year, NHS pension employer contribution 23.7% from day one, company car lease scheme, discounted Nuffield gym membership.
Responsibilities
* Provide diagnostic, assessment, and treatment services for children and adolescents aged 5‑18 with mental health problems within a multi‑disciplinary approach.
* Offer clinical leadership and direct psychiatric input within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, therapists, and support workers.
* Collaborate with schools, GPs, local authorities, and other partners to ensure coordinated, person‑centred care.
* Participate in an emergency out‑of‑hours rota, providing back‑up for junior doctors and professionals for A&E cases.
* Support, supervise, and train junior medical staff within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Consultant level training in psychiatry.
* Clinical experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
* Strong leadership, communication and team‑management skills.
* Knowledge of evidence‑based treatments and ability to deliver multidisciplinary care.
