Job Description:
Amazon Freight (Amazon's external facing Freight service) India is seeking highly skilled and motivated Freight Ops Specialist to assist in the resolution of shipper issues of daily freight movements. If you are interested in managing one of Amazon’s newest businesses through its start-up phase, you might be interested in this role with Amazon Freight.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and excellent data-driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills as a customer-facing role and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
Key job responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities, include but not limited to:
- Responsible for implementation of new and existing SOPs
- Identify operational barriers, dive deep into root causes, provide feedback, and suggest innovative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Support shippers by researching invoice disputes and providing resolutions within SLA
- Support enterprise shippers' escalations
- Support invoicing and credit notes process for execution exceptions
- Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks, process control gaps, and improve collection performance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, accounts receivable (collections), or general ledger
