Are you ready to play a key role in delivering major automation and control systems projects?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tendering Engineer with a background in PLC/SCADA systems to join a growing engineering environment supporting projects across multiple industry sectors. Perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial awareness, this role offers involvement in the full tendering process — from costing and proposal writing through to client engagement and sales support.
Tendering / Proposals Engineer - The Role:
* Produce technical and commercial tenders for automation and control system projects
* Develop project costings, tender programmes and final proposal documents
* Support directors with complex tender submissions and structured bid processes
* Monitor tender portals and identify new business opportunities
* Maintain CRM systems and sales reporting documentation
* Manage proposal templates, costing tools and sales materials
* Support client visits and incoming sales enquiries
* Contribute to social value, sustainability and governance responses within tender submissions
Tendering / Proposals Engineer - What We’re Looking For:
* HNC or above in Electrical, Electronic, Software or related Engineering discipline
* Previous experience within a tendering or proposals environment
* Knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems desirable
* Understanding of M&E installations beneficial
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
* Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
* Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
