Led by UNSW’s Department of Anatomy within the School of Biomedical Sciences, this Lecturer EF role focuses on dynamic undergraduate teaching in Anatomy. The position is a full‑time fixed‑term contract expiring 31 December 2027 at the Kensington Campus, Sydney, with hybrid flexible working opportunities.

We’re seeking a passionate educator to contribute to undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Anatomy and collaboratively with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical classes that inspire student learning, designing innovative learning activities and assessments, experimenting with new teaching approaches, and providing meaningful support to students both individually and as a cohort.
Accountabilities
* Contribute to undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Anatomy and collaboratively with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences.
* Prepare, execute and evaluate lectures, tutorials, and practical classes, including facilitation of small group learning sessions.
* Demonstrate and continuously develop a well‑defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
* Assess student learning achievements and support students in undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
* Design and develop learning activities, resources, assessment and feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
* Initiate the development of experimental approaches to teaching and learning with the support of more senior academics.
* Support learning progression with students as individuals (one‑to‑one consultation) and as a cohort (general course‑related advice).
* Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
* Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and minimum professional accreditation requirements (where relevant).
* Make a positive contribution to School meetings and seminars and be a member of School/Faculty committees as required.
Who You Are
* A PhD in anatomical sciences, and/or a medical degree with relevant professional expertise.
* Demonstrated experience in effective biomedical teaching including development, delivery, and course convening at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
* Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
* Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
