Bouygues Energies & Services Industry, an Equans companyis recruiting aQuantity Surveyorto be basedin Newport, South Wales,to support project that deliver excellence in M&E andfit-outworks across complex, regulated environments.We design,buildandmaintaincutting-edgefacilities for some of the most innovative client in the industry.
The Quantity Surveyor willwork with the project teamsandassistmanagingthe commercialperformanceoftheprojects. The Quantity Surveyor willprovideexpert advice on all commercial aspects of the projects includingthe management of costs and contractual matters.
Whatyou willdeliver?
1. Carry out the commercial activities to meet the projectobjectives, by providing advice,guidanceand supportto the project team.
2. Ensure complianceand governancein respect to various forms of contractincluding JCT, NEC etc.
3. Handle the contract and execute financial reviewsand continuallymonitorprojected costsand control within budget.
4. Take ownerships of andbe responsible forthe project cost budget and provide guidance and direction asrequired.
5. Ensure variations to the contracts are priced and agreed at the earliestopportunity.
6. Ensure commercial control of projects aremaintainedin accordance withcompany policies and procedures.
7. Prepare and present financial control/WIP/CVRdocumentsandsubmitreports asrequiredfor month end results, forecast and activity reports.
8. Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

Who are we looking for?
18. A Quantity Surveyor with proven experience intheconstruction/M&E sector.
19. The ability to communicate, influence and challenge to deliver results.
20. Excellent team working skillsand experience of dealing with project teams.
21. Experience of working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
22. The ability toidentifyrisk in projectand implement and manage risks,proceduresand contingencies.
