About Us:
Chevron Traffic Management is at the forefront of delivering innovative Traffic Management solutions across the UK. Our Urban Solutions Divisionis expanding, and we are setting up a new depot network in 2025to enhance our services in urban environments. We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Depot Managerto help drive this division forward, ensuring its success as a key part of Chevron’s growth strategy.
The Role:
As Depot Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and success of our new Urban Solutions depot. Based out of Beccles, the role involves overseeing daily operations, optimising processes, managing resources, ensuring quality control and developing strategies. This position holds significant importance within our business and requires a responsive approach.
Key Responsibilities of a Depot Manager:
* Overseeing the day to day running of the depot, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
* Managing and support depot staff and operatives
* Overseeing vehicle management
* Liaising with clients and contractors to plan and schedule Traffic Management works
* Maintaining accurate records
* Monitoring depot budgets, including cost control and ensuring profitability
* Processing of invoices and Purchase Orders
* Preparation of reports for Senior Management
* Ensuring that all operations adhere to safe working procedures and that all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies are effectively implemented.
Essential Attributes for a Depot Manager:
* Proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office suite of software and ability to work with other business management systems
* Management/ Supervisory experience
* Interpersonal skills to be able to interface successfully with a wide range of people both within and outside the company
* Understanding and delivering stakeholder requirements
* Excellent communication - both verbal and written.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Attributes for a Depot Manager:
* Traffic Management experience/ knowledge Or Non mechanical plant hire knowledge
