We are looking to appoint a KS2 Team Leader for our four form entry Junior School. We are a vibrant, friendly and forward thinking school which seeks to support and develop all staff. The KS2 Leader role has responsibility for a curriculum team, and forms part of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a class based role suitable for an experienced, dynamic teacher, to lead teaching and learning across the school. Weekly release time will be given to undertake leadership and management responsibilities to ensure that we promote and attain excellence in teaching and learning across the whole school.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be an outstanding practitioner with a passion for learning
2. Have experience of leading in a subject area, including managing budgets
3. Good knowledge of current developments in primary education
4. Have high expectations for all children, motivating and engaging them in the learning process
5. Have the confidence to ensure the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour
6. Have a proven ability to work independently
7. Have experience of leading on whole school initiatives
8. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
9. Have experience of contributing to whole school self-evaluation
10. Have a clear vision of excellent practice and how this can be achieved
11. Have initiative, imagination, creativity and a positive approach
12. Have a strong commitment to raising standards
13. Have experience of using assessment and data analysis to raise achievement
14. Be willing to contribute to the full life of the school
