We are seeking a highly skilled C&I Engineer with strong experience managing Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS) to join our clients team and be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting complex instrumentation and control systems that are essential to the continuity, safety, and efficiency of their operations in the storage, transportation and distribution of liquid fuels, chemicals and biofuels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the management and maintenance of SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems (e.g., ABB 800xA, Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
Develop, install, and commission improvements to C&I systems in line with project and operational requirements.
Provide technical support to maintenance, operations, and project teams across the region.
Support and troubleshoot industrial networks and communications (Modbus, Profibus, Industrial Ethernet).
Conduct system backups, fault diagnostics, cyber-resilience planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., COMAH, DSEAR, BS EN 61511, IEC 62443).
Manage and coordinate vendors, contractors, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and HAZOP/LOPA reviews.
Produce and review technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test procedures.
What We're Looking For
5-10 years of relevant experience with proven responsibility for IACS and control system environments.
HNC/HND or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience in design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and field instrumentation.
Strong knowledge of SCADA/PLC/DCS platforms, industrial protocols, and cyber security standards.
Experience in emergency support, installation supervision, and stakeholder management.
Desirable
Membership in IET/InstMC or equivalent body.
Experience with Schneider Serck/Clear SCADA, firewall config (e.g., Fortinet), and virtualization.
Working knowledge of IEC 62443, OG86, and Windows Server environments.
