Deputy Team Manager -Neurodevelopmental conditions service (CAMHS NDC)

Are you an experienced clinicianlooking for a new challenge?

Do you want to develop your leadership skills?

We are looking for a Deputy Team Manager for Neurodevelopmental Conditions Service (CAMHS) to join on a part time basis (30 hours a week). You could be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist or Psychotherapist; you will be supporting the Clinical Team Manager by undertaking both clinical and operational duties to ensure that we continue to deliver a high quality service to our children and young people.

We are currently developing our service to improve the accessibility, responsiveness and excellent care that we provide to children, young people and their families.

You will be part of a dynamic local leadership team that meet frequently and work closely together; were a supportive team with regular managers meetings and opportunities for coaching or mentoring.


Main duties of the job

* Undertake mental health and risk assessments of children and young people within the NDC Team.
* Working collaboratively with CYP families/other agencies and develop holistic plans of care which are evidence based.
* Hold a small clinical caseload which consists of key working and providing evidence based support.
* Support the clinical team manager with operational duties, which includes deputising in their absence, undertake staff supervision, and case management, and support with ongoing service development - from the creation to implementation.

Person Specification


training and qualifications

* A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy or a psychological therapy
* Evidence of continuing professional development and maintenance of relevant professional qualification
* Professional knowledge acquired through degree/diploma A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology with current HCPC registration
* Leadership training


Experiance

* Significant post qualification experience in a mental health setting, working with young people with mental illness
* Experience of mentoring and clinical supervision of others
* Experience and understanding of working within the education setting
* Experience of working with children and young people who have serious mental illness and their families and carers in the community


Knowledge and skills

* To have ability to manage case load and experience of acting as care coordinator for clients on a case list
* To be able to function as part of multi-disciplinary team and liaise with external agencies i.e. primary care, education, social and health care
* To have ability to assess client need, both mental health, health and social needs
* Understanding of principles and methods of clinical audit, research and service evaluation
* Can maintain professional standards and follow codes of practice

£49,387 to £56,515 a yearper annum | pro-rata
